Apurva is a Hindi thriller film that tells the story of a young woman who is kidnapped by a gang of robbers and must battle for her life. The plot is summarized below:
Apurva (Tara Sutaria) is a robotics expert who lives with her parents in Madhya Pradesh. She is engaged to Siddharth (Dhairya Karwa), an Agra-based banker. She decides to surprise him by riding a bus to meet him on his birthday. A gang of four dacoits – Sukkha (Abhishek Banerjee), Jugnu (Rajpal Yadav), Balli (Sumit Gulati), and Chhota (Aaditya Gupta) – stop the bus on the way. They rob and kill the passengers and kidnap Apurva. They loaded her into the car and drive away.
Apurva escapes from the trunk and rushes into the nearby forest. She attempts to call Siddharth, but her phone is damaged. She also discovers a gun in her luggage, which she uses to defend herself from the pursuing criminals.
When Siddharth does not hear from Apurva, he becomes concerned. He contacts the police, who are not particularly helpful. He chooses to travel to Chambal, where he believes the dacoits are sheltering. He meets Rajiv (Aashish Dubey), a local sub-inspector who offers to assist him.
In the forest, Apurva faces numerous risks and hurdles, including dangerous animals, landmines, and traps. She realizes that she can only trust herself and her instincts. Siddharth and his role in the kidnapping. She recognizes she can only do so much trust herself and her instincts.
