According to sources, TJ Gnanavel approached Vikram about playing a negative part in Rajinikanth’s film. Ponniyin Selvan is alleged to have declined the offer, but the director is in no mood to reconsider. He is working hard to convince the actor that no one else can play the role better than him.
Thalaivar 170 is claimed to be based on a genuine story, with Rajinikanth playing a cop. Lyca Productions is behind the film, and Anirudh Ravichandran composed the music. The production will begin soon and will be released in theatres towards the end of 2024.
