White House highlighted that the hibiscus is the Republic of Korea’s national flower and the rose is the United States national flower, with the bouquet representing the long-standing diplomatic ties between the United States and the Republic of Korea.
Chip and Joanna Gaines, as well as Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, were among those in attendance at the event. Hunter, the president’s son, was not on the guest list since he skipped the White House’s first state dinner with France in December.
