In an official statement, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan confirmed the news, saying, “50 years ago, when I was a dance assistant and an assistant director, the name Ashwini Dutt loomed large in the production sector.” After 50 years, we are finally getting together.
A superb director from our generation is in charge. Mr. Prabhas and Ms. Deepika are also from that generation. I’ve previously collaborated with Amit Ji. But it always feels like the first time. Amit Ji is always reinventing himself. I’m also imitating that creative process. I’m looking forward to Project K.
The film will rely significantly on visuals and visual effects. Approximately 70-75 percent of the film has been done. Deepika and Big B still have a few days of filming ahead of them. Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas greeted the actor’s arrival. In response, Kamal Haasan posted a tweet.

According to previous speculations, Kamal Haasan would be paid a hefty Rs 150 crore for the film. It is said to be nearly double Prabhas’ fee. ‘Project K’ will feature Kamal Haasan in a previously unseen role.
Project K, directed by Nag Ashwin, is one of the most expensive Indian films currently under production. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on January 12, 2024.

The film has a budget of Rs 500 crore. The technical team includes composer Santhosh Narayanan, cinematographer Djordje Stojiljkovic, and editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. In addition, Director Nag Ashwin expressed his delight about Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan joining the film’s cast.

According to reports, Project K will be a two-part film. The project’s broad vision and convoluted plot have prompted the creators to divide it into two parts. The first section will primarily focus on establishing the immersive universe and introducing the main characters, while the second section will go deeper into the unfolding drama, offering a satisfying finish to the narrative.
The film is also significant for the production business founded by producer C Aswani Dutt, who is taking Project K seriously. The film, which is being shot on a larger-than-life scale with realistic or nearly actual properties thanks to a collaboration with Mahindra & Mahindra and a few other technical and scientific wings to establish a futuristic set, is one of the most expensive films being made in India and the first in Telugu cinema.
Almost 80 percent of the film’s shooting is concluded, and the remaining work is moving at breakneck speed. Due to the film’s genre and plot, the producers will take their time with Project K’s post-production.
Santhosh Narayanan, a musician, is writing the film’s full background score and music. The editing and camera departments are handled by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The filmmakers have set 12 January 2024, as the premiere date for Project K, which coincides with the Sankranthi/Pongal festival. Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani play pivotal roles in the acclaimed production Project K.
Kamal Haasan starred in and produced “Vikram,” one of 2022’s biggest box office hits, and has “Indian 2” in the pipeline. He will also rejoin Mani Ratnam, who has had success with the two-part “Ponniyin Selvan” movie, following the enormous critical and commercial success of “Nayakan” (1987).
